Blend Thermolysis / Electrolysis Hair Removal

Serving Clients Throughout Arvada, Westminster, Wheat Ridge, Golden, and Denver

Blend thermolysis combines the principles of both galvanic electrolysis and thermolysis into a single treatment method. In terms of speed, it is faster than galvanic electrolysis but slower than straight thermolysis. Developed in 1948 by Arthur Hinkel, the blend method—also known as the dual‑action method—merges the chemical action of galvanic electrolysis with the heat of thermolysis. In this process, the galvanic current generates lye within the follicle, which breaks down the follicle’s structure, while the thermolysis current heats the moisture in the follicle to the point of electrocoagulation. The heat not only enhances the caustic strength of the lye but also makes the surrounding tissue more porous, allowing the heated solution to disperse more effectively throughout the follicle. This ensures that both deep and shallow cells responsible for hair growth are destroyed. The goal of blend electrology is to harness the advantages of both techniques: the precision and effectiveness of galvanic electrolysis combined with the speed and thermal boost of thermolysis. Practitioners who use the blend method believe that heated lye is significantly more potent than lye at normal body temperature, making this combined approach a powerful and efficient option for permanent hair removal.
