Service Description

Galvanic electrolysis works by using direct electrical current to trigger a chemical reaction within the moisture and salts naturally present in the skin. During treatment, a fine probe delivers this current into the hair follicle, initiating a process similar to what occurs inside a battery. The electrical current causes water molecules in the follicle to break down into hydrogen and oxygen, which then react with sodium in the tissue to form sodium hydroxide—commonly known as lye. Lye is a caustic substance that permanently damages the surrounding follicle tissue, preventing future hair growth. Over time, this destroys the follicle’s ability to regenerate hair and causes the existing strand to shed. This method takes 2-5 minutes per insertion, we use this multi-needle method for areas with thick course hair such as bikini, underarms, breast hair and backs.
